Mr Sheen's Sabotage - Anglesey

The Saboteur

The sun was shining brightly on the first Friday of the school holidays, and after a bit of a scare with a leaking head in the morning; the team were now ready for Angelsey. Some might say that holding the farthest race meeting on the first weekend of the summer holidays was a mistake. In fact most of the people spending Friday afternoon parked on the M25, M6 or M1 would say so with vigour.

Silverstone - The First Race

Silverstone

On Friday 30th March it really didn't look like we were going to be ready in time for Silverstone. On the morning of Saturday 31st we still had our doubts about getting there, and things didn't look much more hopeful at midnight either. However, at 4:30am on Sunday morning, three weary guys strapped Batten 3 on to the back of a trailer and sent her off to to her first race. Silverstone was on!

The Final Push

The last week has been a complete blur, running around, having issues, over steering at every corner, and if only I was talking about the car! The truth is we entered this week not having turned a wheel and as the week went on it became increasing unlikely that we would be doing so for Silverstone this weekend. But with hope in our hearts we stumped up the cash and entered the race anyway in the hopes we would make it to the grid.
